Max Madu

Dr. Max Madu

Dr. Max Madu has been a board-certified plastic surgeon since 2023. He completed his training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Amsterdam University Medical Center, followed by a one-year fellowship in reconstructive microsurgery at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital in Perth, Australia. There, he further specialized in complex reconstructive procedures involving the head and neck, breast, and extremities. More recently, he completed a fellowship in aesthetic surgery at the Instituto de Benito in Barcelona, where he further refined his expertise in aesthetic surgery of the face, breasts, and body.

In his daily practice, Dr. Madu combines the principles of reconstructive and aesthetic surgery. The underlying techniques and approach closely overlap. In both fields, a thorough analysis, a carefully considered treatment plan, and refined surgical technique form the foundation for achieving excellent results. Equally important are clear communication, realistic expectations, and personal guidance throughout every stage of the treatment process.

His approach is characterized by a combination of technical precision, personal attention, and open communication. He believes it is essential that patients feel heard and at ease during their consultation. For this reason, he takes ample time to discuss each patient's wishes, expectations, and treatment options. Together, they develop a personalized treatment plan aimed at achieving beautiful, natural-looking results.

Alongside his clinical practice, Dr. Madu obtained his PhD in 2018 with research focused on the surgical treatment of melanoma, an aggressive form of skin cancer. He is a Fellow of EBOPRAS (European Board of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery) and a member of the Dutch Society of Plastic Surgery (NVPC) and the Dutch Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (NVEPC). He remains committed to continuous professional development by attending international training programs and scientific conferences.
