Dr. Wouter van der Pot has been a plastic surgeon since 2009 and has extensive experience in both aesthetic and reconstructive surgery. He trained at the Academic Medical Center in Amsterdam and completed his specialization in plastic, reconstructive, aesthetic, and hand surgery within the AMC, the Netherlands Cancer Institute – Antoni van Leeuwenhoek, and the Red Cross Hospital in Beverwijk.
Over the years, Dr. Van der Pot has developed particular expertise in facial and breast surgery. His work is centered on safe procedures, natural proportions, and lasting results. He performs a large number of operations each year and continuously refines his techniques. Based on his expertise, he is regularly invited as a speaker, trainer, and live surgeon at national and international conferences and masterclasses.
In addition to his clinical practice, he has been active in various governance and educational committees of the Dutch Society for Plastic Surgery, including education and guideline committees. He publishes in scientific journals and has also contributed anatomical illustrations to various scientific publications. He considers sharing and advancing knowledge within the field to be an important part of his work.
His approach is characterized by precision, personal attention, and genuine involvement with the patient. He believes that plastic surgery is not only about technique, but also about trust, insight, and enjoyment in the profession. This combination forms the foundation of his commitment to high-quality care and natural results. Every week, he treats patients from both the Netherlands and abroad.
As co-founder and medical director of Gooimeer Clinics and Gooimeer Medical Center, he is building, together with Dr. Kalam Ahmed, a clinic where quality, safety, and personal attention are central — with the ambition of creating a place where both patients and healthcare professionals feel exceptionally well cared for.
